Learn MoreDuring I felt quite unrelaxed at the start and wanting to fill the space with talking. Then once you put your hands on my eyes I started to feel an intense heat which I think helped me switch off. It felt like I was dozing as opposed to sleeping but I definitely was in a v sleepy state. I can't remember much else from the actual session. There were def places I preferred you being like my legs and feet and I didn't like my ears being covered as I felt claustrophobic. I felt warm. I remember kind of dreaming even though I wasn't sleeping. Immediately after I was unable to move. I was aware of the bell and knew I had to start to wake up but I didn't want to. I felt very emotional. Like a wave of emotion over me- couldn't stop crying. Felt a little confused as to why I felt like that as it wasn't like we'd chatted about anything that would make me cry. Felt a bit shivery and shaky. Subsequently I was rather fragile for a few hours. It was an incredibly stressful day but I was very teary and kept crying!!! I was tired. I slept very well. Felt much calmer the following day. Had a very happy and peaceful weekend in terms of emotions and how I was feeling.

When I first went to see Rebecca I was feeling lost, overwhelmed, constantly anxious and couldn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. I have a lovely life but a stressful job and the pressure of work has been a battle for me for many years. I always felt because I have a nice life I should get over myself and just cope. Rebecca’s mix of treatments which I can’t describe well enough to do it justice has impacted my life dramatically. I feel like the old me is coming back after only 4 sessions. I have drive again and a sense I deserve to be happy. I am starting to believe I should and can give myself permission to do what I need to achieve that. She has made me realise with small actions and time for me, I can rebalance my life, have a sense of well being and tune in to know what to do to be happy. I really can’t recommend Rebecca enough. I have no idea why (despite my logical brain wanting to know and understand) but I feel back in control and have tools to cope when I don’t. Honestly this will sound corny but I feel like that there is not only light at the end of the tunnel now but that I will soon be out of the tunnel altogether and living in the sunshine of my bright future, thanks to her, her techniques and treatments.

She is giving me the tools to bring myself back into the present when life pulls in all directions. Today I had my first…but definitely not my last…Reiki Therapy. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I’d heard of Reiki, but to be honest, I didn’t really understand how it worked or if indeed it actually did. I have a very busy life, I run my own businesses and also care for my 92 year old mum, so quite honestly, I will try anything that may help calm my busy brain. Rebecca is a very warm and friendly person, she immediately puts you at ease and describes everything that she’s going to do. The room at The Lodge Retreat is perfect, Rebecca had it softly lit and there was a light ‘spa like’ aroma in the air…and a relaxing soundtrack playing quietly in the background. Rebecca asked me to remove my shoes and watch and lay down on a wide, sturdy treatment table (I recommend wearing nice loose clothes, you want to be as comfy as possible). She then covered me with a lovely soft blanket, making sure I was nice and cosy. After a brief explanation of proceedings, I closed my eyes and she began. It’s hard to explain what I felt and I believe it’s a different experience for everyone. As soon as I could feel her near me my skin felt warm and lightly tingled in waves and behind my eye lids I could see tiny energetic twinkles of light dancing around. I could feel the warmth from Rebecca’s hands, even though afterwards she told me that was energy from me, as her hands were actually some distance away. I was totally conscious at all times, but as the session went on I could feel my whole body relax and sink further into the couch . The visual effects behind my eyes started to calm and eventually turned into wavy lines. Rebecca worked on my head for sometime, then gently held my head at the base of my skull, that’s the only time she actually touched me throughout the whole treatment. After some time, I heard her move down to the side of me. I have severe arthritis is my hip, a condition brought about by a childhood hip dysplasia, I hadn’t even thought that it would have any effect on physical ailments , just ones mental state. However, as soon as she held her hand over that area I felt it ache, I hadn’t moved, I hadn’t felt any pain whilst she was at my head, just then at that very moment! After the treatment, Rebecca said she could feel the difference in energy in my hips and right ankle…both places I experience quite bad pain. Once the treatment was over, Rebecca woke me gently and I was allowed to lay quietly and come round at my own pace. I felt quite exhilarated by the whole experience, I understand every individual feels different things, but I felt quite refreshed. I was advised to drink plenty of water and get an early night. Well, I shut my eyes at 7.30pm for a quick nap before going to see mum and woke up two hours later! What a magical experience! I think everyone should try Reiki, in this crazy, hectic world we live in today, it’s the ultimate restorative therapy and Rebecca is a master at her craft. I will be having more sessions!

Breathe and Flow When we are children we are taught and encouraged the fundamentals of sitting up, walking, running, talking, eating, reading, writing….the list goes on. As parents we celebrate each moment and feel a huge sense of achievement, relief, joy and excitement that our child has reached the next milestone in their development. However, we automatically assume that they come out of the womb knowing how to breathe, to fill their lungs with a full breath of air and release it fully. Even as adults we think we have mastered the technique of breathing, without even giving it a second thought. As a mum I remember watching my daughter for hours, sleeping in her cot and watching her tiny chest rise and fall, holding my own breath so that I could hear her own little one. Breath meant life. It was the first sign that I looked for to ensure that this tiny bundle of precious life was still alive. Watching a loved one pass away is about seeing them take their final breath, the holding on to that last moment of life before we lose them forever. Those that we try to save, we learn how to start their breath again, pumping their chests, filling their mouths with air and waiting for that moment when the chest rises and life is assured. Breathing, it’s the start and the end - our first breath to our last breath and the millions of breaths we take throughout our life journey. But what is breathing? Surely it’s simply a physiological action that we naturally do and know how to do well without even thinking about it. Yet, when we start to understand the connection between how we breathe to how we live our lives - well, that can take your breath away! This is exactly what Rebecca did for a groups of strangers who signed up for one of her ‘Breathe and Flow' classes. All female and all from different walks of life, we came together and discovered that we had never been taught or even understood the fundamentals of breathing. Sounds stupid eh? However, through simple, clever and intuitive teaching, Rebecca taught us how to breathe in such a way that the simple action of drawing in and releasing air can transform not only your physical state but also your mental health and wellbeing. Like learning to walk, eat or talk, we each learnt how to breathe and it was undeniably transformational. There was no chanting, josh sticks or candles, just a group of woman curious about how they could enhance their wellbeing, accept their own difficult journeys, break challenging habits and step out of those destructive cycles that we can see, but just can’t seem to let go of. Each of us went on our own unique journey, with different timings of 'light bulb’ moments, self discoveries and transformations, and yet coming together in such a way that transformed a group of strangers into something quite remarkable and unexpected. Yes, we learnt the fundamentals of breathing and how that can be incredibly useful and beneficial, but we learnt so much more than that. The talking, the support, the learning from each other’s journeys, the friendships, the tears and the laughter, so much laughter! The support and love that grew and the connections that developed became instrumental in everybody's development and growth, so that eventually, even those that could hardly breathe for fear, tragedy, loss or mental challenges, became the narrators of their own story and ultimately, the masters of their own journey and destination. Courage was discovered and flourished in every one of us and the sense of being seen and accepted was truly amazing, but also a reminder of how far we have strayed from our true selves, letting the layers of our childhood and life experiences build up to hide behind and feel ’safe’ , even when that safety is often harmful and destructive. My journey is not complete, but I can now separate the real me from the constant and mostly destructive and negative chatter that goes on in my head. I can turn the volume down and I can hear myself and that is not only fascinating, but incredibly liberating, The chatter will always be there but I now have a choice as to whether I listen or simply take a deep breath and let it go….

I asked Rebecca to help with my 7 year old daughter who had developed sleeping issues. She had become very anxious and worried and just wouldn't settle at night which was very unusual for her. Rebecca said that she could help and came to our aid without hesitation. Her approach is very unobtrusive and at no point did my daughter feel uncomfortable. Rebecca suggested 3 sessions to help and after the 2nd session we haven't had any further issues. I use the techniques that Rebecca has taught us every night and also if she wakes up during the night, and it has worked each time. These techniques are a new thing for me but I approached it with an open mind as I was willing to try anything to help my daughter overcome her anxiety. Since starting my one to one sessions, I feel like I’ve come such a long way. It was difficult at first opening up about things at first, but each session I began to trust her more and over come things one step at a time. I feel more in-control of my own life now, knowing I have techniques she has practiced with me to start my days off brighter and over come panic attacks. Both me and my mum agree that since starting, I have slowly become a happier person and that I have really benefitted by seeing you. There is a lot more work to do, but after months of being at the breaking point of my anxiety, I feel like I am really getting somewhere. I also can see more of a positive view about how I am coping with stress and anxiety now.

I struggle with Maths and sometimes get upset about it. I tried stillness and spot work and it makes a massive difference. When I go into the room, I do not feel too great. But when I come out I feel a lot brighter. I enjoy the sessions because they really help me in lots of different ways. E.g. it makes me sleep better at night if I do it at bedtime.

We enlisted the help of Rebecca when we were at our wits end with our 1 year old Labrador puppy Bree. Labs are renowned for their gentle, placid and eager to please nature hence why we chose her . Hmm... But not Bree. She'd had a terrible start to her life and when she came to us and as a result she was an anxious and nervous dog which is not a good combination. We just couldn't trust her not to bite somebody. She was extremely unsettled, constantly on edge and terrified of the slightest thing. It was so sad to see her that way. To have a family pet that wouldn't let visitors into the house, or one that lurched and nipped other dogs when out walking was just horrendous and we were at breaking point. The we met Rebecca. She spent an initial 6 weeks working with Bree, fourth week in and we started to see a difference. It wasn't easy, we had to work with Bree too between visits from Rebecca but we persevered. We had a six month break and then asked Rebecca to come back for another 6 weeks. This was the icing on the cake and I think it was necessary that Bree had this extra treatment. Bree is now a calm, relaxed, friendly 3 year old dog who enjoys life, people and at last can play happily with other dogs. The difference in her is incredible. She welcomes people into the house, she no longer barks and its just a pleasure to see her being a Labrador! I don't know how Rebecca does what she does, but all I can say is it works and she really is a godsend. If you have a pup or even an older dog that is out of sorts with life then I would highly recommend talking to Rebecca. She absolutely saved Bree. Pauline & Mark

Whilst it is difficult for me to say HOW Rebecca does what she does, it is easy to say the results speak for themselves. Rebecca visited Sammy (yorkie-poo) and myself when I asked for help with his velcro tendencies. He would not leave my side for a moment. He also hadn't found his voice to ask to go out in the garden. Rebecca worked quietly with both of us for a few sessions, and each time the difference in Sammy was palpable. Now I have a dog that will quite happily lounge on the sofa whilst I go about my day. He asks to go in the garden, not by barking, but by coming to find me, looking at me and whining quietly. By working with Rebecca, with Sammy, I feel like he and I have a deeper connection now, and also that he is more confident in himself. I truly cannot recommend Rebecca enough for her work with animals.

I’ve been completely blown away with Rebeccas work with our family dog Marley. He would bark at a leaf blowing past the window yet within an hour Rebecca had him calm, fully rested so much so he did not care when the door went!
